The Carnegie Medal was established by the Library Association in the UK for an outstanding book written for children.  This is a list of the books that have won the Carnegie Medal and are currently in print.  When no books are mentioned for a particular year, then the winning books are no longer available.  For a complete list of all Award winners (including those that are out of print) check out the website www.carnegiegreenaway.org.uk
